Inspired by shooting and truffle hunting jackets, Le Winter Field Coat brings winter  inspiration to the tradition of countryside apparel. It dresses up a pair of jeans and t-shirt to bring timeless elegance to a contemporary look, whilst having plenty of pockets for your bits and bobs. We have also crafted the cut to be on the longer side, so it fits perfectly over a blazer or suit jacket for a more formal or office look. 

The winter version with its light smart down padding, using cutting edge down technology, allows the coat to adapt to your body and outdoor temperature (10 to -20 C). Using the Loro Piana Storm Systems Fabric, this glorious piece can even be used for skiing. 

As a finishing touch, we use horn buttons that are crafted in Bergamot from a century old factory using the same hand finished techniques for generations. The buttons are polished in small barrels, hand churned against miniature cork pellets with wax and olive oil. In the winter, to contain the humidity in the barrels, Polenta residue is added from the neighbouring Polenta factory. This is the heritage and craftsmanship that Alva preserves.
