Inspired by Neapolitan shirt making, La chemise en cachemire is an Alpine twist on the classic shirt, with a sportier cut and generous herringbone-patterned cashmere fabric. 

Ideal for breezy summer evenings or casual autumn days, La chemise en cachemire can be perfectly worn directly on the skin, or over a shirt or t-shirt – for those days where it is too hot to wear a sweater, but a bit too cool for linen. 

We strive to use the finest quality fabrics in the world. La chemise en cachemire is made using Loro Piana’s most awarded Cashmere fabric.

As a finishing touch, we use horn buttons that are crafted in Bergamot from a century-old factory using the same hand-finished techniques for generations. The buttons are polished in small barrels, hand churned against miniature cork pellets with wax and olive oil. In the winter, to contain the humidity in the barrels, Polenta residue is added from the neighbouring Polenta factory. This is the heritage and craftsmanship that Alva preserves. Our Beige-Ivory model comes with Australian mother-of-pearl buttons, polished and lightened using lemon juice in the same factory in Bergamot.
