As a finishing touch, we use Australian Mother of Pearl buttons that are crafted in Bergamot from a century old factory using the same hand finished techniques for generations. The buttons are polished in small barrels, hand churned against miniature cork pellets with wax and olive oil. In the winter, to contain the humidity in the barrels, Polenta residue is added from the neighbouring Polenta factory. This is the heritage and craftsmanship that Alva preserves.
