There is something mystical and magical about a Cape. It oozes tradition, and simultaneously, its slight form oozes contemporary cool. Our cape keeps all the traditional forms, whilst adding a few features to give it that edge with its stand-up collar and button function for cooler days, as well as Alcantara finishings on the back of the collar. 

Made from premium Austrian Loden in a Chestnut brown, the colour allows for it to easily transcend from the countryside or mountains to a city environment paired with jeans and a thick ply cashmere sweater. The traditional properties of Loden allows for the Cape to be naturally water resistant. 

As a finishing touch, we use horn buttons that are crafted in Bergamot from a century-old factory using the same hand finished techniques for generations. The buttons are polished in small barrels, hand churned against miniature cork pellets with wax and olive oil. In the winter, to contain the humidity in the barrels, Polenta residue is added from the neighbouring Polenta factory. This is the heritage and craftsmanship that Alva preserves. 

For ladies, this piece is wonderful for the day, and can also be elegantly worn with a skirt or dress in the evenings.
